Questions about this course
Are these documents accepted?Will these documents be accepted for my application?
They are accepted for citizenship, permanent residency and family reunification applications, once both parts of the programme are complete — 190 hours in total. The documents record the hours you attended, which is what is asked for. Our certificate is registered in the state SIGO portal with a series and a number, so it can be verified against the database.
Who issues which certificate?
We issue three documents: the enrolment declaration, the attendance declaration and the Certificado de Formação Profissional. The two programme certificates are issued by Centro Qualifica, our partner. We do not issue those and never claim to.
Will I actually reach A2?
Yes, provided you complete both parts — our 40 hours and 150 hours of PLA from our partner Centro Qualifica. That is what the 190 hours are for, and the documents record every hour of it.
How soon will I have a document?How soon do I have a document in my hands?
The Declaração de Matrícula within 24 hours of payment. The Declaração de Frequência whenever you ask for it. The certificates come at the end: ours when you finish our 40 hours, the two Centro Qualifica certificates when you finish each state level.
Can I do both parts at once?Can I do both parts at the same time?
Yes. The two parts are independent. Take them in parallel or one after the other, in either order. You pick your Centro Qualifica slot separately from our start date.
What language are the lessons in?What language are the lessons taught in?
English. You learn Portuguese through English, so you need no Portuguese to start.
Do I have to attend the lessons?
Yes. The documents state the hours you attended, so attendance is exactly what they certify. Every lesson of our course is recorded, so one missed lesson does not put you behind the group. PLA has its own attendance rules, set by Centro Qualifica.
What if I do not finish PLA?
You keep everything we issue: the enrolment declaration, the attendance declaration and our certificate. The two PLA certificates require PLA to be completed, and both parts have to be complete for an application.
Can I take PLA twice?I have already used PLA. Can I take it again?
No. PLA is tied to your tax number and granted once. It cannot be repeated or passed to another person. That rule is Centro Qualifica's, not ours.
Can the family enrol together?Can several people in the family enrol together?
Yes, and each additional family member gets 20% off. Ask us before you pay and we will put the whole family on the same start date where places allow.
